MAFRA to Hold Explanatory Session about FSMA and Food Safety Plans for Korean Companies to Export Food to US - Guidelines for the production of food safety plans presented -

◇ The Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (MAFRA) will hold an explanatory session about the US Food Safety 
   Modernization Act (FSMA) and Food Safety Plans with the Korea Food Research Institute

   ❍ Date and Venue: 14: 00 - 16: 00, July 20, 2017 (Thursday), COEX (Conference Room 328)
   ❍ Participants: Food processing and manufacturing companies
   ❍ Main contents

    1) Overview of the US Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA)
     - Background of FSMA legislation, main contents of FSMA, outline of FSMA sub-rules, compliance days of 
        major sub-rules, outline of food safety management, details of food safety management

    2) Explaining how to prepare food safety plan (presenting guidelines)
     - Hazard analysis, prevention process management, prevention and control of allergy-inducing ingredients, hygiene 
        management, supply chain management, recovery plan and other prevention management 
        
       ※ Guidelines for preparations to be made by export food companies
